Pam Hopkins

Pamela Hopkins has a keen interest in history and is an author: The History of Beverley, from earliest times to the year 2011, A Walk Through 12 Centuries; The Diary of John Jackson – a 17th century Macebearer; St John of Beverley: The Beverley Town Trail: An Explorers’ Guide to Beverley Minster.

Pamela’s fascination with the ancient town of Beverley and its two great medieval churches began when she and her family moved to the town in 1954.  After many years of teaching English and History at Beverley College of Further Education she went on to teach Local History for the college and the WEA

Pamela has always been interested in the activities of the town and for 15 years was Secretary of the Friends of Beverley Minster and also has been Secretary of the Beverley Civic Society.
